Growing heirloom tomatoes are almost impossible without growing it from the seeds. Though growing tomatoes from seeds require high level of time and effort the satisfaction is far higher.
To start with you need to have a good quality tomato seeds and a very good potting soil. start by putting the mix in a nursery tray and inserting a seed in every cup.
cover the seeds with the mix water it and keep the tray indoor.
tomato seeds will start germinating with 7 days. at about 30 days you will get you need to transplant them to a bigger pot. once they become more sturdy transplant them to their permanent spot.
