DIY my own growing bag. Skip this step to 2:40 if already have a no hole pot. For Lotus, the pot should be 2′ go 4′ open and 1′ to 1′.5″ deep.
I am growing Asian Lotus in zone 9. At first it somewhat hard to grow them. However when it take off , it can be very hardy plant. Some American Lotus even can be grow in colder zone than zone 9.
Lotus tuber should have 2 or more growing tips is best for start.
Warning: The pot/bag when fill with soil , it gets very heavy. It could hurt your back, if you don’t have other people to help you move it around. Grow it at your own risk.
