Now is about the start of the time to plant out your over Wintering Onion Sets if this is what you prefer to do.
I prefer to do it this way as opposed to Spring planting as they are ready to harvest a good 6 weeks earlier which allows for a second crop to be planted in Summer in their place.
The technique is so simple, just push each onion set into the soil so that the tip is just above soil level.
6 inches apart and about 10-12 inches between the rows is sufficient.
Dead easy.
