Finally I got round to planting all 30 of the Kelsae Show onions and 10 Giant onions into the polytunnel on Friday.
I plant them about 18-20″ apart and the giant ones in 60 litre pots.
Fingers crossed this year I can beat last years best of 9 lb 10 oz and finally grow a giant 10 pounder.
I added some micorrhizal fungi to the planting holes to try to get a secondary root system on the plants provided by the fungi which does produce better results and gets more nutrition out of the soil.
