Time to harvest and sort this years show potatoes.
These are grown in small 17 litre plastic bags so that potato isn’t deformed should it reach the edge of the bag.
Variety Kestrel and Casablanca.
These are sorted into sets of 3 & 4 for the shows and stored in dryish compost until the day before the show.
All the rejects are gladly eaten as they are not only a good show spud but an excellent eating variety too.
