Just a quick video about how I chit or sprout my seed potatoes before they are planted in the ground later in Spring.
The reason for doing it is not only to get some nice strong green shoots which will make the plant grow quicker but it also is a way of preserving the potato until planting.
If they weren’t kept in a cool bright place then they would produce useless long spindly transparent shoots which are no good at all.
